Ann will be stepping down ay the next election in May 2018; meanwhile, she can still be contacted as opposite.

.Ann has been the local District Councillor for the last 10 years and has been actively involved in all aspects of the four villages that make up the Walgrave Ward.

In 2011, Ann became Chairman of Daventry District Council and her year of office included visits to neighbouring authorities as well as attending many charitable events. She has very fond memories of her civic service held at St Peter’s Church in Walgrave – made possible with the help of Rev Canon Karen Jongman, The Royal Oak public house and many others. Her nominated Charity “Help for Heroes” benefited from a grand total of £2,283.66 from various fund raising events held throughout the year.

Elected in 1997 Judy has been a County Councillor for the past 16 years.

Judy was born and educated in Northamptonshire.  She worked locally as a Medical Practice Manager in Kingsthorpe before retiring in 2004 so she could dedicate herself more fully to Council work.

Judy has served on many committees within the County Council including the Health & Social Care Scrutiny Committee and is presently its Chairman.  She has also Chaired the Development Control Planning Committee, (she is presently a member of the committee) and was Chairman of Northamptonshire County Council for two years from 2008 -2010, a position that she deemed to be a great honour and privilege.

On a local level Judy is a Parish Councillor, a member of Boughton and Pitsford Mineral Liaison Forums, is Chairman of The Richard Humfrey Charitable Trust, and an Executive Member of both SSAFA and the RCFA.  Judy has been a Governor of Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust since its inception.  Judy has 13 villages within her Division and attends many parish council meetings and other local meetings and she will continue to work hard for her community.

Judy has also raised over £85,000 for local charitable causes.  Judy has two boxer dogs and loves the local countryside!

Chris Heaton-Harris was elected as the Member of Parliament for Daventry at the May 2010 General Election with 56.5% of the vote and a majority of 19,188, having previously been a Member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands region for 10 years between 1999 and 2009. He lives in Pitsford, in the constituency.

He is an active and qualified football referee and has been officiating the game at different levels for over 32 years. He currently referees on the Northamptonshire Combination League most Saturday afternoons. He is also President of Earls Barton Football Club. Chris is well known within football locally, nationally and internationally and it was his behind the scenes negotiations and common sense solution of allowing England players to wear poppies on their armbands that solved “Poppygate” in November 2011.

In Parliament, Chris sits on the Public Accounts Committee and the European Scrutiny Committee. He has also sat on the Bill Committees for the Civil Aviation and Defamation Bills. He is Vice-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Dance and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Football and plays, when forced into it, for the parliamentary football team.
