Saint Peter's Church in Walgrave is a part of a Benefice with the Churches in Hannington, Old (Wold) and Scaldwell. The Priest-in-charge is the Rev’d Canon Káren Jongman, who was appointed in July 2004.

There is a thriving and welcoming Christian community in Walgrave. Church membership is over fifty, although a much greater number of villagers attend Church services sometime during the year, often to the special services such as Christmas, Easter, Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival and Remembrance Sunday.

All our services are aimed at the whole family. Usually on the first and third Sunday each month there is a Family Communion Service, when we follow Common Worship, Order One.  We have a variety of Services on the second and fourth Sunday each month; these include Family Services, Messy Church or a Cafe Church Service. All the services are advertised on the notice board at the Church facing the High Street, on the Church Porch Notice board and on this website.   We offer a warm welcome to everyone who attends any of our services – if it is the first time you are visiting St Peter’s please make yourself known to one of our “Welcomers”.

The Church is very active socially in the village and puts on many events; the social calendar has featured, amongst others, a Summer Lunch, a Barn Dance, a Safari Supper, a Harvest Lunch with a produce auction, musical evenings and a sponsored Bicycle Ride. We also support and fund raise at the annual Walgrave Groove on the Green. Details of all are circulated around the village and on this website – please come and join in with the Church community.

St Peter's supports Foodbank – full information is available here … we also collect socks for the Northampton Hope Centre
